TANAKA RACING
Perhaps no other team in the Formula Drift Championship chase has come so far, so fast, as Tanaka Racing. In its debut, Tanaka Racing shocked the Drifting fraternity with the highest-ever finish - 4th place at Sonoma - for a rookie team. In 2008 and 2009, Tanaka Racing logged two top 5 finishes and but for mechanical woes at several other venues was, consistently, a force to be reckoned with.
Founded by Team Owner Sharon Tanaka and Team Manager Dwight Tanaka, Tanaka Racing entered the Formula Drift Championship with the goal of showcasing the most eye-catching, spectacular and crowd-pleasing car ever to compete in Formula Drift. The Team's 825 horsepower Tanaka Racing Corvette with its distinctive Banzai graphics, mutant Japanesse Koi graphics and vibrant red paint job accomplished this goal by wowing the crowds during the 2008 and 2009 season. With the new graphic design for 2010 we plan to wow the Formula D fans again.
Thus, the stage is set for 2010, with Tanaka Racing a legitimate Formula Drift Championship contender.
