JACOB TANAKA ANNOUNCED TO DRIVE TANAKA RACING NITTO TIRE C5R CORVETTE AT ALL GLOBAL TIME ATTACK AND NASA EVENTS

Jacob Tanaka will again be driving the TANAKA RACING NITTO TIRE C5R Corvette during all Global Time Attack and NASA events. Jacob completed in the 2010 Redline Time Attack Series in the TANAKA RACING NITTO TIRE Nissan S13, participating in the Modified Rear Wheel Division, logging respectable 3rd, 4th, 5th and 7th place finishes.

During the 2011 Redline Time Attack season he won the Modified Rear Wheel Drive Division Championship logging three 1st place finishes and one 2nd place finish.

As many young drivers do, he started his career racing go karts. After a couple of successful kart racing seasons he decided to attend the Skip Barber School of Racing. On completion of the school and after receiving his Competition License, Sharon Tanaka, the owner of Tanaka Racing purchased a Nissan S13 for him to participate in regional road races.

During the 2010 racing season the owner of Tanaka Racing decided that Jacob displayed the capabilities to drive a larger more powerful car and announced that he would be driving the 800 horsepower Tanaka Racing Nitto Tire C5R Corvette during the 2011 Redline Time Attack season.

After a very successful 2011 racing season he plans to campaign the Tanaka Racing Nitto Tire Corvette to another championship in 2012.
