Tanaka Racing Corvette shipped to Xtreme Motorsports for ground up rebuild for 2011 Redline Time Attack (RTA) season.
Modifications include all new upper and lower control arms (polished) new front and rear sub-frames (polished), new 434 cu. in. super charged engine from Danzio, new carbon fiber front fenders, bumpers, hood and custom wide body rear quarter panels.

Redline Time Attack at Willow Springs- First time car has been on track since rebuild and the first time that the new driver, Jake Tanaka has been able to drive the car. Car performs well with no problems. Because of tire inventory issues we were forced to run NT05's (street tire) verus NT01's (competition tire). Car finished second at the event but we felt that on NT01's we could have won the event. But we still were very pleased with the car and driver's performance.

Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach Press Day - Day of just plain fun for the driver. Jacob was able to gain valuable driving experience at the famed street circuit in preparartion for the Time Attack Event at Firebird Raceway. Car performs well with no problems.

Redline Time Attack Event at Firebird Raceway - Rain on first day reduces track time until late afternoon. Under wet conditions the car seems to work well. Jacob circulates the track at reduced speeds to familiarize himself with the track. On second day of the event, under dry conditions, Jacob sets the fastest time and track record for the Redline Time Attack Modified Rear Wheel Drive Division at Firebird Raceway. Tanaka Racing wins it's first event in the history of the team. Jacob now leads the Championship points chase. This win is dedicated to Richey, who will always be remembered. We would like to thank Garrett, Sean, Jamie, Randy, Chris, Howard, and Tasha for their help in preparing the car for the Firebird event. We would also like to thank our sponsors, SCT, Nitto Tire, Sam's Autoland, Penske Shocks, Exedy Clutches, Porterfield Brakes, Simpson, Rav Design, Xtreme Motorsports, Technosquare, Seaside Printing and Sparco for their support. It took awhile for the first win but we hope to get more.

Tanaka Racing announces that it will be participating in the Redline Time Attack at the Auto Club Speedway with the Tanaka Racing Nissan S13.

Redline Time Attack Event at Auto Club Raceway - First time the S13 has been on track since the fall of 2010. Under steer, over steer, broken rocker arms, wrong spring settings, brake fade, just to mention a few of the problems we had, but the problems do not deter Jacob from bringing the car home to a second place finish. Very valuable points in the chase for the Championship which extends his lead in the Championship chase.

Redline Time Attack Event at Willow Springs Raceway - HOT! HOT! HOT! Track surface temps at over 160 degrees and very slick. Jacob is much quicker than the previous event here in March. Car is immediately faster than the other competitiors in his class. Jacob finishes in first place. Very valuable points in the chase for the Championship which increases his lead in the Championship chase.

Tanaka Racing Nitto Tire C5R Corvette is shipped to Xtreme Motorsports for suspension modifications. LG Motorsports Drop Spindles and Eibach coil over springs are to be installed. Car is lowered an additional 2".

In preparation for the 2012 racing season Tanaka Racing orders new NA EFI  LS engine from Danzio Performance. Engine scheduled to be completed in time for the 2011 Inaugural North American Speedefest at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

North American Speedfest at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Rain on first day reduces track time until late afternoon, able to do 3 laps under caution. Laaps under caution help engine breakin process. Jacob circulates the track at reduced speeds to familiarize himself with the track. On second day of the event, under dry conditions, Jacob sets the fastest time not only in the rear whell drive class but for all classes enter in the Time Attack Group. On the third day Jacob again sets the fastest lap for all classes and records a speed of 170 MPH on the oval section of the race track. Before the final session the Corvette develops a fuel pressure problem ending Jacob's day. Jacob Tanaka and the Tanaka Racing Corvette win the North American Speedfest Time Attack Limited Rear Wheel Class but is also named the Overall Time Attack Group Champion because of the fastest time they posted against all other classes.

Tanaka Racing announce plans to participate with the Tanaka Racing Nitto Tire C5R Corvette in the 2012 Global Time Attack Series and also certain 2012 NASA Racing Events with Jacob Tanaka as their driver.
